Become a Carer

If you are thinking of becoming a professional foster carer you will be provided with the necessary information in order to make an informed decision. Our online brochure will provide a brief outline of the assessment process and an illustration of what you may expect, and experience, if you take on this demanding and rewarding task.

All foster carers are provided with a high level of physical, emotional and financial support, to ensure that they are able to provide the quality care required by the agency.

The support offered includes (but this is by no means an exhaustive list):

A designated Supervising Social Worker; providing formal supervision, at least monthly, in addition to visits and regular telephone calls.

Emergency out of hours support; in the event of an emergency situation, we provide access to fully qualified and supportive social work staff 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, where you can receive appropriate support and/or guidance.

Remuneration: highly competitive carers’ fees which reflect the, some times challenging, nature of the job.

Wholesale Retailer Membership: membership to the Costco chain of wholesalers.

To ensure the level of support offered is maintained, we pride ourselves on our policy of having a fostering household to Supervising Social Worker ratio of, not more than, 7:1.

As a foster carer you will have a great amount of input into potential placements. This ensures that placements can be carefully matched with your lifestyle and that of your family, to make sure that the fostering experience is an enjoyable one for all involved.

If you have the space in your life and your home to care for a child or young person in need of a nurturing and secure family environment, then you can find out more information by completing the enquiry form and we will send you a copy of our brochure to peruse at your leisure.
