Welcome to Premier Foster Care
Premier Foster Care is an independent fostering agency which was established in 1998 by a group of senior managers from Social Work and teaching backgrounds. The agency was established with the aim of offering the highest possible quality fostering services to looked after children and young people in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
After several years of steady growth, the founders decided earlier this year that it was time for Premier to start a new phase in its development and in May Premier joined the Capstone Foster Care group.
Capstone has offices and foster carers across the South of England and the Midlands and is now keen to expand its services in the North West. Premier will continue to be led by the same management team and to operate from the same office in Denshaw. Premier will now have access to the greater resources available within the Capstone group as it looks to expand its services to meet the needs of Local Authorities in the North West.
We are dedicated to providing our foster carers with high quality service and support to enable them to provide a level of care which is second to none. In return, once approved as a foster carer, you can expect to receive extensive, physical, emotional and financial support.
To ensure that our foster carers have the necessary skills and knowledge to make fostering an enjoyable and rewarding career, in addition to the initial training and assessment, Premier Foster Care offers an extensive post approval training programme to our foster carers, including courses covering;
- Valuing Heritage
- Attachment, Separation and Loss
- Helping Children and Young People who Self Harm
- First Aid
- The NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People
To ensure the high quality of our training sessions, Premier Foster Care often engage the services of well respected and highly acclaimed guest speakers and training facilitators to enhance the training experience.

As well as promoting the continued professional development of our foster carers, Premier Foster Care believes that the education of looked after children and young people is paramount. However, we are aware that changes to the education system over the last 20 years have been phenomenal and, as such, we are therefore committed to ensuring that foster carers receive appropriate educational support to enable children in their care to reach their full potential. This support is provided through a contractual relationship with The National Teaching & Advisory Service, an organisation dedicated to maximising educational achievement for children in the care system.
